The Gemstone Book Review

Perfect book to read in October!!

This book takes place mainly in an academy called Hill Valley Private Arts Academy where the main character, Arica Miller, goes to school. But right before, her and her mom just moved into a new home. When Arica is unpacking, she sees a box and gets curious. So, like any other person she opens it, and finds a Necklace. A beautiful necklace, a Gemstone. She can't get the necklace off of her. it tightens around her. The darkness comes. She blacks out.

Arica is attending as a Sophomore at HVPA. She is so excited to go there and meet new friends, and see her twin cousins. but what she doesn't know is that, the school holds a secret. The Headmistress wants the Gemstone necklace. And she will do all she can to get it from Arica and her cousins. with all of this leading up to Halloween, Arica will discover the biggest secret of all: her past, her present, and her future...

Wow! I cannot believe this book was written by two authors, and their nearly 18! Usually when two authors write a book, you can tell when one author stops writing, and the other picks up. But, that did not happen. There as a few plot twist, which I love, also character development. My favorite character is actually Ash, even after the end!
TALK ABOUT CLIFFHANGER!!!!!

Sarena and Sasha Nanua, keep up the good work because you haven't disappointed me yet.

Horrorstor Book Review

This is one creepy book!!!

I've never really liked that many creepy/scary books before but this one, it was quite a good book.

In this book, Horrorstor, there are the two main characters, Amy and Basil. The setting is at work a store called Orsk, which is pretty much just like a IKEA, but with lower prices.

Amy is just a regular employee that doesn't like to work that much. She just recently got told by her roommates, that if she doesn't get $600 by the next day, she is going to be kicked out. Amy doesn't want that to happen. She moved into the apartment for a reason, to get out of her mom's trailer home. but, as the story starts to progress, she starts to understand that working is a job, not a fun little activity.

Basil is the store manager. Basil is the complete opposite of Amy, he adores Orsk. He thinks it's a big part of his life, and he doesn't want to give it up. Basil also has a weight on his shoulders, he has to take are of his little sister.

everything starts to come into play when Basil acts Amy and Ruth Anne a dark to dark shift with him to find out who has been doing absurd things to the store. Everyday they come into work they find writings on the wall, substances smeared on the sofas, and furniture destroyed. this is the only job that will help Amy get $600 fast. She says yes. That's when the chaos starts to happen...
BUT NO SPOILERS!!!!!

Grady Hendrix, the author of Horrorstor, did an amazing job on this book and I hope he writes more like these!

If you liked The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, you will like Horrorstor.
(only Horrorstor is way creepier)!!!
